Day by Day

Architecture of the capital’s many layers

Mexico City (CDMX)

Day 1: Arrival in the capital
Arrive in Mexico City and transfer to your boutique hotel in the heart of the city. After settling in, the afternoon is left open to explore nearby cafés, galleries, or tree-lined streets at your own pace. This evening, join a shared street food and mezcal experience that introduces the flavors, traditions, and everyday rhythms of the city after dark.

Day 2: Cities within the city
Spend the morning on a private architecture and neighborhoods orientation, moving between Roma, Condesa, Juárez, and Centro Histórico. Your guide focuses on how the city was built, adapted, and lived in, rather than a checklist of monuments. The afternoon is free for museums, shopping, or rest before a quiet evening of your choosing.

Day 3: Above the ancient city
Rise early for a sunrise hot air balloon flight over Teotihuacán, drifting above the Avenue of the Dead as the pyramids emerge in soft morning light. After landing, explore the site with a guide before returning to Mexico City mid-day. The remainder of the afternoon is unstructured, allowing time to recover, reflect, or wander locally.
Living craft & culinary tradition

Puebla

Day 4: From capital to craft city
Depart Mexico City by private vehicle, stopping en route at Cholula to explore its vast pyramid and hilltop church before continuing through the countryside to Puebla. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening in the historic center, where tiled facades and quiet plazas shape the city’s pace.

Day 5: Talavera and the historic core
Begin with a private visit to a certified Talavera workshop, learning about the techniques, symbolism, and regulations that define this regional craft. Continue with a guided walk through Puebla’s historic center, where colonial architecture and tilework reveal the city’s layered past. The afternoon is free to explore museums or return to the hotel to rest.

Day 6: Puebla through its kitchens
Spend the morning on a private culinary exploration, tasting Puebla’s signature dishes and market specialties with a local guide who contextualizes the food within the city’s history. The afternoon and evening are left open, offering time for independent dining or a quiet evening in town.
