Panama City, Boquete, Bocas del Toro,
Puerto Viejo & Arenal
Day 1: Arrival in Panama City
Touch down in Panama and settle into the heart of Casco Viejo. Your boutique hotel, housed in a restored colonial building, offers rooftop views and timeless charm. That evening, dine by candlelight in the courtyard, surrounded by quiet jazz and warm evening air.
Day 2: The Panama Canal & Casco Viejo
Stand above the Miraflores Locks and watch as ships rise and fall through one of the world’s great engineering feats. Later, lose yourself in Casco’s cobbled lanes, sipping coffee on a rooftop and browsing artisan boutiques.
Day 3: Into the Highlands of Boquete
Fly west to the misty mountains of Boquete. Finca Lerida welcomes you with fresh air and sweeping views. Walk the trails, breathe in the scent of pine, and let the stillness settle in.
Day 4: Cloud Forests & Coffee Trails
Begin the day with a guided hike to hidden waterfalls deep in the cloud forest. As dusk falls, tour a working coffee estate where the scent of roasted beans and panoramic views linger long after the sun sets.
Day 5: To the Caribbean Coast
Fly to the archipelago of Bocas del Toro and arrive at your island retreat. Spend the afternoon unwinding at Red Frog Beach, where rainforest meets white sand and time begins to stretch.
Day 6: Jungle Trails by ATV
Take to the jungle by ATV, riding past hidden beaches, muddy tracks, and lush terrain. That evening, dine under the stars at your hotel’s open-air terrace, the sea just beyond your table.
Day 7: Zapatilla Cays by Private Boat
Set sail on a private catamaran to the Zapatilla Cays. Swim in clear waters, snorkel with tropical fish, and stretch out on palm-fringed shores with no one else in sight.
Day 8: Crossing to Costa Rica
Travel overland into Costa Rica and arrive at your beachfront hideaway in Puerto Viejo. Walk the shoreline or settle into a hammock and watch the surf roll in.
Day 9: Cahuita’s Wild Heart
Venture into Cahuita National Park on a guided wildlife walk. Watch for monkeys in the canopy, sloths in the trees, and flashes of color among the leaves. Return to the coast for a slow afternoon.
Day 10: A Day to Unwind
Start with a gentle yoga session on the sand. Then, follow your curiosity—rent a bike, visit a local chocolatier, or spend the day doing absolutely nothing at all.
Day 11: To Arenal’s Shadow
Leave the coast behind and head for the volcanic highlands. At Amor Arenal, jungle cabins with plunge pools offer privacy and peace. Soak in the view with a glass of wine and the sounds of the forest.
Day 12: Ziplining & Springs
Fly above the canopy on a zip-line tour with sweeping views of Arenal’s volcanic ridges. End the day with a private dinner by the hot springs, as the rainforest hums around you.
Day 13: One Last Soak
Linger over breakfast. Hike to a nearby waterfall or enjoy a final plunge in your private pool. This is your time to slow down and take it all in.
Day 14: Departure from San José
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, carrying with you the rhythm of the jungle, the warmth of the Caribbean, and the memories of a journey well lived.
Set in the heart of Casco Viejo, the American Trade Hotel blends effortlessly into its historic surroundings with canopied windows and tree-topped balustrades. Inside, Art Deco charm meets modern comfort with a rooftop pool, Panamanian-grown coffee at the onsite café, and live music at the iconic Danilo’s Jazz Club.
High in the cloud forests above Boquete, Finca Lérida is a peaceful retreat steeped in history and nature. Wake to mountain air and fresh coffee, then wander garden paths as hummingbirds flit by. With hillside suites, forest trails, and a working coffee estate, this heritage lodge invites you to slow down and settle in.
Perched between jungle and sea, La Coralina offers barefoot luxury on Bocas del Toro’s wild coast, where ocean breezes sweep through open-air spaces overlooking palm-lined beaches. With tropical design, island rhythm, and wellness woven throughout, this is a sanctuary of nature and indulgence.
Set along the palm-lined sands of Playa Cocles, Awa is a chic Caribbean escape where barefoot ease meets modern design. Ocean-view suites, a saltwater pool, and open-air lounge invite sun-soaked, unhurried days. Rooted in Puerto Viejo’s coastal soul, Awa is relaxed, refined, and effortlessly stylish.
Cradled on the slopes of Arenal Volcano, Amor Arenal is a rainforest retreat where wild nature meets quiet luxury. Casitas perch above the canopy with volcano views and private plunge pools. Trails wind to waterfalls and hot spring pools, while the spa and restaurant invite deep, unhurried rest.
