Cayo District, Tikal & Placencia
Day 1: Into the wild
Arrive in Belize and travel west to the Cayo District. Nestled among the jungle’s edge, your stay begins with birdsong, warm breezes, and a deep exhale.
Day 2: Into the Maya kingdom
Cross into Guatemala and journey to the heart of Tikal National Park. Explore temple-studded trails and settle into the rhythm of the rainforest.
Day 3: Dawn among the ruins
Rise before the sun for a private tour of Tikal at first light. Watch the mist lift over ancient temples and howler monkeys stir the canopy. Return for a leisurely morning and time to swim or rest beneath the trees.
Day 4: Back to Belize
Return to the Cayo District and enjoy a laid-back afternoon surrounded by tropical gardens, forest trails, and the comfort of your jungle lodge.
Day 5: River rhythms
Glide along the Macal River by canoe, passing iguanas and herons as you float beneath the forest canopy. Pause for a riverside lunch and let the stillness sink in.
Day 6: Into the underworld
Venture into Actun Tunichil Muknal, one of Belize’s most sacred caves. Wading and climbing through crystal-lined caverns, discover ancient pottery and skeletons left as offerings to the gods.
Day 7: From jungle to sea
Travel south to the shores of Placencia. Check into your beachfront retreat, where warm breezes and Caribbean blues welcome you to a slower pace.
Day 8: Beneath the surface
Sail to Laughing Bird Caye, a tiny isle surrounded by coral reefs. Snorkel alongside rays, reef fish, and sea turtles in calm, clear waters perfect for families and first-timers.
Days 9 to 11: Barefoot bliss
Spend your days as you please—kayaking, swimming, strolling colorful beachside lanes, or simply soaking in the sun. Whether you’re building sandcastles or sipping fresh juice in a hammock, this is barefoot luxury at its most relaxed.
Day 12: Island goodbyes
Enjoy one last breakfast by the sea before flying back to Belize City. Depart with full hearts and sandy toes, carrying the wild beauty of Belize with you.
