Dive into Belize on this 6-night family adventure, from the misty jungles of the Cayo District to the sun-drenched shores of Placencia. Explore hidden caves by canoe, soar through rainforest treetops, swim with sea turtles, and end long beach days with barefoot walks along golden sand.
Cayo District & Placencia
Day 1: Arrival in the Cayo District
Arrive in Belize City and journey inland to the Cayo District, where your jungle lodge sits nestled along the Macal River. Settle into your riverside suite and sip a welcome drink under the trees, as toucans call from the canopy and the hum of the wild sets the tone.
Day 2: Ziplining the Rainforest Canopy
Soar above the jungle on a zipline adventure designed for all ages, with sweeping views and safe, kid-friendly lines. Afterward, picnic beside the river, splash in its gentle currents, and unwind in a hammock before a quiet night beneath the stars.
Day 3: Cave Tubing at Caves Branch
Float through ancient limestone caverns on a guided tubing expedition lit by headlamps and wonder. Stop for snacks beside the river, then return to the lodge for an afternoon of hands-on crafts—leaf art, mask-making, and creative play inspired by Mayan myths.
Day 4: Travel to Placencia
Head south to the coast and arrive in Placencia, where golden sands and calm waters welcome you to a slower pace. Check into your beachfront resort and spend the afternoon exploring by kayak, bike, or bare feet.
Day 5: Snorkeling at Silk Caye
Venture offshore to the Belize Barrier Reef and snorkel the vibrant shallows of Silk Caye, where sea turtles glide through coral gardens. Return to shore for poolside downtime, or bike into Placencia Village for an ice cream treat.
Day 6: Beach Day & Lagoon Exploration
Ease into the day with paddleboarding or kayaking through the Placencia Lagoon, watching for manatees and bright tropical birds. Spend the rest of the day building sandcastles, swimming in the sea, or simply soaking up the sun.
Day 7: Departure from Belize City
Savor a final breakfast by the sea, then transfer back to Belize City for your departing flight—leaving with sun-kissed skin and stories of rainforest rivers, coral reefs, and jungle laughter.
Hidden deep in the jungle along the banks of the Macal River, Mystic River Resort is a serene retreat where nature takes center stage. Suites open to the sights and sounds of the forest, with no screens or distractions, just birdsong, river breezes, and the rustle of howler monkeys in the trees. Days unfold with canoe rides, riverside meals, and the quiet magic of life off the grid.
Stretching along a palm-fringed beach in southern Belize, Laru Beya is a relaxed coastal hideaway made for families. Villas overlook the sea, and the pool sparkles just steps from the sand. Borrow a kayak, bike into the village, or do nothing at all. Life here moves to the rhythm of waves and warm Caribbean light.
