From desert cliffs that plunge into the Pacific to jungles that hide ancient cities, Mexico is a country of shifting landscapes and endless stories. Cenotes shimmer in the Yucatán sun. Mexico Highlights
Swim in Yucatán cenotes
Descend stone steps into a limestone chamber where clear, cool water waits. Sunlight filters through openings above, reflecting on stalactites and tree roots that reach down into the pool. Once sacred to the Maya, these cenotes offer a refreshing swim surrounded by jungle stillness.

Explore ancient Maya cities
Walk the grand plazas of Chichén Itzá, where the Pyramid of Kukulkán rises over the plain, or venture deep into the forest to climb the remote temples of Calakmul. As you explore, the calls of birds and rustle of leaves bring these centuries-old cities to life.

Watch gray whales in Baja California
Each winter, gray whales migrate thousands of miles to Baja’s calm lagoons to give birth. Local captains guide small boats into these sheltered waters, where the whales sometimes surface nearby, their sheer size and gentle presence leaving an unforgettable impression.

Taste Oaxaca’s culinary heritage
In bustling markets, taste fresh tortillas, smoky moles, and tangy local cheeses. Meet artisans who shape each dish from regional ingredients, and visit a mezcal distillery to see how agave is roasted, fermented, and distilled into Mexico’s most storied spirit.

Snorkel Cozumel’s reefs
Slip into warm, clear water and drift over coral gardens alive with parrotfish, angelfish, and eagle rays. Part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, these protected waters offer some of the best visibility in the Caribbean, with a kaleidoscope of life beneath the surface.

Wander San Miguel de Allende
Lose yourself in cobblestone streets lined with colorful facades, art galleries, and shaded plazas. Pause for coffee in a leafy courtyard, then climb to a rooftop terrace to watch the sun set behind the pink spires of Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.
